Darca - Downloading And Remote Control
Application
Darca is a family of Windows programs for setting up, downloading, and
analysing data from 1000 Series Squirrels. It provides powerful but
simple-to-use tools for configuring and metering Squirrel channels, changing
Squirrel settings, downloading data and analysing it either graphically or
statistically. Connection to the Squirrel can be made via a direct serial
link or through a modem.
The current and expanding family consists of :
- Darca Plus
- Darca Secure - Darca Plus with
enhanced security for the Pharmaceutical Industry following
recommendations prescribed in FDA 21CFR Part 11. Note Darca Secure can
only be used with GenII telemetry system receiver logger type 1000SC,
refer to Eltek for details. Darca Secure cannot be used with Eltek 1000
Series conventional wired loggers.
- Darca Lite - Cut down version of
Darca Plus, without modem support or graphing.

Squirrel very quick
- Multiple windows may be displayed at the same time to provide total
control over Channel Setup and Metering
- Allows you to contact all Squirrels that are connected to a Squirrel
Network
- Squirrel channels may be scaled into appropriate engineering units
- Copy and Paste tools in Channel Setup for simple and fast channel
configuration
- Alarm feature warns if any channel inputs are outside 'safe' limits
- Squirrel configuration may be saved as a Setup File and then applied
to other Squirrels
- 'Shed' scheduling utility allows scheduled, automated downloading of
data from the Squirrel
